Three chapters that brought us here. The long version is best told over dinner. Bring questions.
We met through a close friend at a party, and after one date, that was basically it for us. Call it love at first sight, or just two people who immediately realized they'd found their person. From that point on, we were completely inseparable.
Our relationship was built on a mix of big adventures and the little things: trying new foods, traveling whenever we could, spending countless late nights laughing together, sharing our dreams and slowly building a life that just felt easy and natural. Somewhere along the way, we made a very important adult decision and got our first dog, Nori. Then after moving downtown together, we doubled down on the chaos and added our second dog, Churro, to our little family. Life has basically been equal parts love, fun, and dog hair ever since.
how it started
After 9 years together, Philip planned the most amazing proposal a few days after New Year's in 2026. He surprised Kaitlin with a mini getaway to a cottage in Muskoka, complete with a private dinner and a live singer.
Just when Kaitlin thought the night couldn't get any more special, Philip brought her back to the cottage, which was covered in white rose petals and candlelight straight out of a movie. After a heartfelt speech that definitely made both of them emotional, he got down on one knee and asked Kaitlin to marry him.

Two dogs, countless food adventures, and one very magical proposal later, here we are. Still each other's favorite person to do life with. To celebrate nearly a decade together, we're getting married in Puerto Vallarta, a place that instantly felt like us.
We wanted our wedding to feel less like a single day and more like a shared experience with the people we love most. Somewhere warm, beautiful, and relaxed. The kind of place that feels like one big deep exhale. Warm ocean water, sunsets, incredible food, big skies, and a few days where everyone can slow down, be present, and celebrate together. Honestly, it just felt like the perfect place to start this next chapter.
